air Fryer Hot Honey Chicken
Air Fryer Hot Honey Chicken combines crispy chicken with a sweet and spicy honey glaze for a delicious, healthier alternative to traditional fried chicken. Quick, easy, and customizable, it's perfect for satisfying cravings with less oil and more flavor.
- 2 chicken breasts butterflied
- Kosher salt and black pepper to taste
- 2 eggs beaten
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp dried thyme
- Avocado oil cooking spray
Preheat the air fryer to 390°F. Season your butterflied chicken (4 pieces in total) generously with kosher salt and pepper.
Set up a dredging station by placing the whisked eggs in one shallow bowl and the panko breadcrumbs mixed with seasonings in another. Line a sheet pan with foil.
Dip each chicken breast into the egg mixture first, then coat it with the seasoned panko, pressing gently to ensure the crumbs stick. Place the coated chicken onto the prepared sheet pan.
Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray, then add the chicken breasts in a single layer (you may need to cook in batches). Lightly spray the chicken with cooking spray, then cook for 4 minutes on each side.
Once crispy, drizzle the hot honey over the chicken and enjoy!
