Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 2 cloves of garlic finely minced
  • 1 teaspoon freshly grated ginger
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha sauce adjust to taste for desired spice level
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water

Method
 

Combine the Base Ingredients:
  1. Add the soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, minced garlic, grated ginger, and sriracha sauce to a small saucepan. Stir thoroughly to ensure all ingredients are well blended.
Make the Slurry:
  1. In a separate small bowl, whisk together the cornstarch and water until fully dissolved and smooth.
Simmer the Sauce:
  1. Set the saucepan over medium heat and allow the mixture to come to a gentle simmer, stirring occasionally to avoid any sticking or burning.
Thicken the Sauce:
  1. Gradually pour in the cornstarch slurry while stirring continuously. Keep stirring until the sauce thickens to a smooth and glossy consistency.
Cool and Store or Serve:
  1. Once the sauce has reached the desired thickness, remove it from the heat and let it cool slightly. It can be used immediately or stored in the refrigerator for later use.
