Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 8 oz package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 10 oz can diced tomatoes with green chilies, drained
  • 1 15 oz can refried beans
  • 2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup chopped green onions for garnish
  • Tortilla chips for serving

Method
 

  1. Preheat and Prepare: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a baking dish for the dip.
  2. Cook the Meat: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef with the diced onion and minced garlic until the meat is browned. Drain any excess grease.
  3. Mix in Creaminess: Reduce the heat and stir in the softened cream cheese and sour cream, mixing until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
  4. Add Flavors: Add the drained diced tomatoes, refried beans, chili powder, cumin, salt, and black pepper. Stir everything together until evenly mixed.
  5. Bake: Transfer the mixture to your prepared baking dish, top with the shredded cheddar cheese, and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
